This workshop is open to players of saxophone, trumpet, trombones, piano, guitar, bass and drums. If you want to take part but play a different instrument such as clarinet, please let us know when you register.

Once registered, the music will be emailed out to you ahead of time. It is suitable for players who can follow a chart. All ages welcome.

Participants will experience playing in a big band led by Lana Law, learn about jazz feel and get to do improvisation and finish with a performance at 11:50am!

The workshop will take place in the Piano on Armagh Street.

Lana Law is well known and respected in Christchurch and NZ as an in demand band leader, teacher, performer and adjudicator. She currently directs the All Girl Big Band, Rangi Ruru Big Band, Middleton Grange Big Band and St Margaret’s Big Band.
